ATLAS + PROPOSAL AT LLOBREGAT RIVER BARCELONA, SPAIN
The central axis of Urbanism IV revolves around the territory of the Vall Baixa del Llobregat. The Llobregat river and its surrounding areas are proposed as the object of the project. In a first exercise we propose the creation of an Atlas that serves as a first contact with the territory of the project, compiling information on different topics (historical traces, urban tissues, flora and fauna…).
In this same atlas will be included the first improvement proposals/strategies for the course project. The atlas is entitled “What if we go back to the river?” referring to all the elements of the territory that have contact with it, both infrastructures, characteristics of the territory, ecosystems, historical and demographic evolution.
The Atlas project also has a strong challenge in terms of the quality of the graphic material. We propose a design by color range following the same aesthetics and facilitating the reading of the different cartographies, so that in the future it becomes a tool that can be consulted when projecting improvement proposals.
